Sue Brown – Owner
Sue and Natalie founded BFFEC in 2002. Sue lives on site and can often be seen in her garden feeding the birds or looking after her granddaughter Hettie. Sue owns Freddie, Felicity, Diamond and the donkeys.
Natalie Brown- Owner and instructor
Sue and Natalie founded BFFEC in 2002. Natalie lives on site, teaches lessons and runs the fun and exciting pony days. Nat’s favourite will always be Flitwick, the pony who started it all.
Gemma Buggins- Manager
Gemma is our yard manager, she can either be found hiding in the office or out and about on the yard. Gemma’s favourites are Freddie and Ozzie.
Katie Smith- Instructor
Katie learnt to ride at BFFEC. She grew up riding Freddie and lots of the other horses and ponies on the yard. Freddie will always be the love of Katie’s life, but Bertie is a very close second!
Grace Blackband- Instructor
Grace is a new friendly face on the yard who runs our pony club stable management classes. If Bertie ever goes missing we will be checking Grace’s back garden!
Yaz Stockbridge- Instructor
Yaz joined the team in 2024 and has settled in to be part of the family. She has completed her stage 2 care and ride and is looking to take her stage 2 teaching in 2025. Yaz has joined the Bertie and Hector fan club!
Nikki Gregory- Instructor
Nikki is an instructor, owner and website master here at BFFEC. She owns Pumpkin and Mulligan, and can usually be found out hacking or competing with one of them.
Ellie Lyden- Equine coordinator
Ellie can always be found on the yard sorting out the horses, tack and generally keeping the yard spick and span. She loves to stop and have a natter and is always available to answer questions. Her favourite horse is Harry.
Peter- Handyman
Peter is our handyman, who is always running around mending fences, clearing up after the horses and doing our general farmyard maintenance. Peter has won the local ploughing championships many, many times!
Macy Long- Equine Assistant
Macy works on the yard during the week, looking after the yard and the ponies. She is friendly and helpful and always happy to help.
Ella Cox- Equine Assistant
Ella owns Clio and loves show jumping! If you ever see them in action you will be impressed! Ella works the yard a few days a week keeping the ponies, fed, exercised and healthy.
Ella Castle- Equine Assistant
Ella helps on a Sunday, tacking up ponies and running around after them for the instructors. She loans Guinness and can be found riding at least three days a week!
